The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 9 AM to 6 PM EST Monday. * Location...The Mohawk Valley, Greater Capital Region, Lake George Saratoga Region, eastern Catskills, Schoharie Valley, Helderbergs, Mid Hudson Valley, and Taconics of eastern New York, as well as southern Vermont, the Berkshires of Massachusetts, and Litchfield County Connecticut. * WINDS...West 15 to 30 mph with gusts 45 to 55 mph. * TIMING...Late Christmas morning into the early evening. * IMPACTS...Some downed trees, tree limbs and power lines. Isolated to scattered power outages are expected. Significant blowing and drifting of snow causing difficult travel conditions. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph are expected, with gusts between 46 to 57 mph.
