The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a Blizzard Warning...which is in effect until midnight AKST tonight. The Winter Weather Advisory is no longer in effect. * LOCATION...Strongest winds and worst visibility conditions along the coast however snow and blowing snow will occur throughout the zone. * SNOW...3 to 7 inches. * VISIBILITY...less than 1/4 mile along the coast. Visibilities reduced to one-half mile at times elsewhere. * WIND...Northeast wind 30 to 45 mph along the coast and 20 to 35 mph inland. * TIMING...Snowfall rates will continue to increase through the remainder of this morning...with the heaviest snowfall and strongest winds beginning in the early afternoon. Visibilities will likely be reduced during the afternoon and evening hours.
