Counties
.Recent heavy rainfall has caused significant runoff into streams and
rivers which will cause flooding in some areas.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts...and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property.
The latest stage data was furnished in cooperation with the United
States Geological Survey.

* Until Friday afternoon.
* At 9 PM Wednesday the stage was 14.5 feet...and falling.
* Minor flooding is occurring...and Minor flooding is forecast to
continue.
* Flood stage is 12 feet.
* The creek will continue to fall...dropping below flood stage by
Friday morning.
* Between 13 and 15 feet...Minor flooding continues along Sells Lane
in Trenton...Mason Road near Rising Fawn...and Creek Road near New
England. These roads and other roads along creeks flowing into
Lookout Creek will likely be closed as the water may be a few feet
deep on portions of the roadway. Minor flooding will also continue
downstream as the creek crosses the Tennessee border into the
Tiftona area.

* Until Friday morning.
* At 845 PM Wednesday the stage was 8.2 feet...and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring...and Minor flooding is forecast to
continue.
* Flood stage is 7 feet.
* The creek will continue rising...reaching near 8.5 feet after
midnight early Thursday morning. The river will fall below flood
stage early Friday morning.
* Between 8 and 9 feet...Minor flooding expands along the creek from
near Cumming to Alpharetta and Roswell. The backyards of homes off
Seale Drive and Gunter Court and portions of the Golf of Georgia
begin to flood. The Big Creek Greenway experiences significant
flooding up to 3 feet deep...which results in closure of most of
the paths. This especially occurs upstream and downstream from the
gage on Kimball Bridge Road and Rock Hill Park. A large portion of
the YMCA Campground off Preston Ridge Road will be under a foot of
water.

Forsyth County to Alpharetta and Roswell in north Fulton County.

with 1 to 2 feet of water. Most of the walking and biking paths
will be closed...especially upstream and downstream from the gage
on Kimball Bridge Road and near Rock Hill Park. Portions of the

Ocmulgee Heritage Trail will begin to flood in areas just north of
the Martin Luther King Boulevard bridge. The public should not use
this portion of the trail. In addition...the lowest sections of the
Charles Jones Gateway Park will flood. Portions of agricultural
lands well downstream will be under two feet of water.
