* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS...

* UNTIL 1230 AM CDT.

* AT 923 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED 
  VERY HEAVY RAIN FROM THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WARNED AREA.

  DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED BETWEEN 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN 
  ACROSS THE AREA...WITH ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 
  INCHES POSSIBLE.

* LOCATIONS WITHIN THE WARNING INCLUDE...
  BOLTON...CHERRYVALE...ELK CITY...INDEPENDENCE...LIBERTY...SYCAMORE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE
BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE
UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

THIS WARNING REPLACES THE PREVIOUS FLOODING WARNING FOR A PORTION 
OF NORTHERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY.
