AT 1245 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
HEAVY SHOWERS AND SCATTERED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE
EXTENDING FROM 10 MILES WEST OF ASBURY PARK TO 6 MILES NORTH OF TOMS
RIVER...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 TO 40 MPH. THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE
NEAR SEA BRIGHT...LITTLE SILVER AROUND 100 PM...HIGHLANDS AND
ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS AROUND 115 PM.
VERY HEAVY RAIN WILL FALL FROM THESE STORMS...AND WILL CAUSE WATER TO
POND ON ROADS AND QUICKLY FILL POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. AS MUCH AS 1.5
INCHES COULD FALL IN 1 OR 2 LOCATIONS IN 45 MINUTES.
FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH A COUPLE OF
