...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN AND LOCALIZED 
GUSTY WINDS...

AT 1201 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED 
SHOWERS AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS GENERATING HEAVY RAIN AND 
LOCALIZED WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 40 MPH. THE SHOWERS AND STORMS 
WERE OVER BUCKS COUNTY AND MUCH OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL NEW JERSEY. 
THE BACK EDGE WAS FROM ABOUT 20 MILES NORTH OF PHILADELPHIA TO 20 
MILES NORTHEAST OF ATLANTIC CITY...AND THE ACTIVITY WAS MOVING 
NORTHEAST AT 35 TO 45 MPH. 

THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE ACROSS NORTHERN AND CENTRAL 
NEW JERSEY THROUGH 130 PM. VERY HEAVY RAIN WILL FALL FROM THE 
STRONGER STORMS...AND WILL CAUSE WATER TO POND ON ROADS AND QUICKLY 
FILL POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO DRIVE ACROSS FLOODED 
ROADWAYS. 

WIND GUSTS TO 50 MPH ARE POSSIBLE WITH THE STRONGEST STORMS. ALSO...
FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WAS OCCURRING WITH THE STRONGEST  
STORMS. DO NOT SEEK SHELTER UNDER TREES WHEN LIGHTNING 
THREATENS...MOVE INDOORS WHEN A THUNDERSTORM APPROACHES.
