...THE FLOOD WARNING IS CANCELLED FOR THE FOLLOWING RIVERS AND LAKES 
IN IDAHO...

  MOYIE RIVER AT EASTPORT AFFECTING BOUNDARY COUNTY

RAINFALL DRAINING INTO THE MOYIE RIVER BASIN HAS SLOWED
CONSIDERABLY AND THE RIVER IS NO LONGER EXPECTED TO 
REACH FLOOD STAGE.

THE SPRING SNOW MELT RUNOFF IN LAKES AND RIVERS IS DANGEROUSLY COLD 
AND CAN BE LIFE THREATENING FOR THOSE THAT COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE
WATER. TAKE APPROPRIATE PRECAUTIONS.

BE AWARE OF LARGE DEBRIS IN THE RIVER. HIGH WATER LEVELS CAN PUSH 
LOGS AND OTHER LARGE DEBRIS INTO THE RIVER...INCREASING THE DANGER TO
PEOPLE AND BOATS.

NEVER DRIVE CARS...TRUCKS OR SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES THROUGH FLOODED 
AREAS. THE WATER MAY BE TOO DEEP TO ALLOW FOR SAFE PASSAGE.AS LITTLE 
AS ONE FOOT OF WATER ON THE ROAD CAN MOVE MOST VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD.

* AT  6:45 PM WEDNESDAY THE STAGE WAS  8.75 FEET. 
* FLOOD STAGE IS  9.00 FEET.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER CRESTED BELOW FLOOD STAGE AT 8.9 FEET.  THE 
  RIVER WILL CONTINUE TO FALL TO 8.6 FEET BY FRIDAY MORNING.

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION

.SYNOPSIS...
Low pressure will remain over the region. The resulting low
pressure pattern will favor numerous weather systems to pass over
the region so below normal temperatures and showery weather will
continue for much of this workweek and into the weekend. Drier and
warmer weather could arrive by early next week.

.DISCUSSION...
A very persistent area of wrap around moisture is promoting increasingly
significant hydrology concerns over the northeastern zones this
morning. Many locations of North Idaho and extreme northeast
Washington have received between 1 and 2 inches of rain fall over
the last 36 hours...with more to come. While both the latest GFS
and NAM models suggest this wrap-around precipitation shield will
gradually lift north today...satellite and radar extrapolation
suggest this will be an agonizingly slow process. Thus...for
those locations in which it is currently raining...it will likely
continue raining for the rest of the day. The best chance for at
least a marginal improvement to merely occasional showers versus
steady light rain will be under the southern margin of the
precipitation shield...Ferry County and southern Lincoln and
southern Spokane Counties. Over the remainder of the forecast area
generally benign but breezy conditions will continue.

A small stream flood advisory has been issued for
Ferry...Stevens...Pend Orielle and Bonner/Boundary counties in
Idaho. Bonner County Emergency Manager is already reporting small
stream flooding issues on several small streams. Also...a Winter
Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 pm for Sherman Pass.
Anecdotal evidence indicates the snow level with this
precipitation lays around 4000 to 4500 feet with minor
accumulations over the higher terrain north and east of the
basin...but not necessarily accumulating on road surfaces except
at Sherman Pass. /Fugazzi

.AVIATION...
18Z TAFS: main aviation weather concern involves a persistent and
stationary area of stratiform rain impacting northeast Washington
and north Idaho. This area will slowly withdraw to the north by
tonight. In the mean time...the KGEG...KSFF and KCOE TAF sites
will experience low VFR or MVFR ceilings in -RA through much of
the day. The remaining TAF sites will be outside of the
precipitation area with VFR conditions. A break period of quiet
and VFR conditions will envelope the region tonight and Thursday
morning...before a new weather system brings a threat of rain to
the far western TAF sites of KEAT and KMWH after 16-18Z Thursday.
