  SOUTHWESTERN ATTALA COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI...

* UNTIL 445 PM CDT

* AT 242 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR DETECTED
  THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN NEAR NEWPORT...OR 8 MILES
  SOUTHEAST OF DURANT. THE STORMS WERE NEARLY STATIONARY.            
  ESTIMATED RADAR RAINFALL AMOUNTS...ON THE ORDER OF ONE TO TWO      
  INCHES...HAVE OCCURRED IN THE PAST FORTY FIVE MINUTES.
