THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORMAN HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WESTERN CARTER COUNTY IN SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA...
  EASTERN JEFFERSON COUNTY IN SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA...

* UNTIL 200 AM CST

* AT 1053 PM CST...VERY HEAVY RAIN WAS REPORTED FROM                 
  THUNDERSTORMS FROM SOUTHEAST JEFFERSON COUNTY INTO WESTERN CARTER
  COUNTY. RADAR ESTIMATES RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES HAVE     
  FALLEN IN THESE AREAS SINCE ABOUT 6 PM. THE MESONET STATION AT     
  RINGLING HAS REPORTED 5 INCHES OF RAIN SINCE THAT TIME. ADDITIONAL 
  HEAVY RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE FOR THE NEXT HOUR OR SO.     

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE CORNISH...GRADY...HEALDTON...
  MILO...OSCAR...RINGLING AND WILSON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY
ROADS AND FARM LANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER
LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT DRIVE VEHICLES INTO
AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
