  THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL OVER THE WARNED AREA.
  RAINFALL HAS ALREADY EXCEEDED AN INCH IN PORTIONS OF THE COUNTY.

...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM EDT FOR
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY...

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS MOVED ACROSS CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY IN THE VICINITY 
OF CHAUTAUQUA INSTITUTE BETWEEN 300PM AND 400PM. DURING THAT TIME 
THE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED BETWEEN 2 AND 2 AND ONE HALF INCHES OF 
RAINFALL OCCURRED ACROSS THE AREA. 

AT 430PM THE RADAR INDICATED THAT THE HEAVIEST THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY 
HAD MOVED EAST OF THE COUNTY.  HOWEVER, FLOODING FROM THE HEAVY 
RAINFALL IS STILL POSSIBLE AS RUNOFF FROM RIDGES AND HIGHER 
ELEVATIONS WORKS ITS WAY DOWN TO LOWER LYING AREAS. 

THOSE IN THE WARNED AREA ARE URGED TO REMAIN ALERT AND BE PREPARED 
TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IF FLOODING THREATENS OR IS OBSERVED.   

LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO CHAUTAUQUA 
INSTITUTE AND SHERMAN.
