THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  POLK COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 1000 PM CDT.

* AT 415 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE   
WARNED AREA. RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATED THAT AS MUCH AS TWO AND A 
HALF INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN BETWEEN BOLIVAR AND MORRISVILLE ALONG 
HIGHWAY 13. 

* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO
  OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT MAY EXPERIENCE FLASH FLOODING INCLUDE...
  BOLIVAR...FAIR PLAY...HUMANSVILLE...MORRISVILLE AND PLEASANT HOPE.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
