THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WICHITA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WOODSON COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

* UNTIL 815 PM CDT SATURDAY.

* AT 758 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  HEAVY RAINS OCCURRING IN WOODSON COUNTY.

  DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED BETWEEN 5 AND 8 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN 
  IN EASTERN WOODSON COUNTY...WITH 3 TO 5 INCHES COMMON IN WESTERN   
  WOODSON COUNTY. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES ARE   
  POSSIBLE THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

* LOCATIONS WITHIN THE WARNING INCLUDE...
  BATESVILLE...NEOSHO FALLS...ROSE...TORONTO...YATES CENTER.

AT 805 AM CDT...WOODSON COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED FLASH FLOODING HAD 
BEGUN IN NEOSHO FALLS WHERE A CREEK HAD BEGUN TO OVERFLOW AN ADJACENT
HIGHWAY. IT IS LIKELY THE HIGHWAY LEADING INTO NEOSHO FALLS WILL BE 
BARRICADED. NO OTHER FLOODING HAD BEEN REPORTED.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE
BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY...AND NEVER DRIVE AROUND A BARRICADE THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE 
TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
