THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN EL PASO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CENTRAL EL PASO COUNTY IN TEXAS
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF EL PASO FORT BLISS AND MONTANA VISTA

* UNTIL 1030 PM MDT

* AT 912 PM MDT...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED FLASH FLOODING   
  FROM A THUNDERSTORM OVER EAST EL PASO.

* THE STORM PRODUCING FLASH FLOODING WILL OTHERWISE REMAIN OVER
  MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF THE INDICATED COUNTY.

ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN IN THE LAST HOUR OVER THE 
NORTHEAST PART OF EL PASO CAUSING FLOODING.  FURTHER SOUTH OVER EAST 
EL PASO ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN EARLIER TODAY AND THEY 
WILL PICK UP ANOTHER HALF TO ONE INCH OF RAIN IN THE NEXT 30 MINUTES 
WHICH WILL LEAD TO ADDITIONAL FLOODING...ESPECIALLY ALONG MONTANA 
EAST OF HAWKINS.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES
AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
