THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CLEVELAND HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  ASHTABULA COUNTY IN NORTHEAST OHIO

* UNTIL 445 AM EDT

* AT 1241 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED  
THAT AROUND 2 INCHES OF RAIN FELL BETWEEN 1145 PM AND 1245 AM FROM 
THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WARNED AREA. THE HEAVIEST RAIN FELL BETWEEN 
ANDOVER AND ROCK CREEK. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE INTO 
ASHTABULA COUNTY...CAUSING AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN 
THROUGH 2 AM.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO 
ANDOVER...ROCK CREEK...MILL CREEK...WHETSTONE CREEK...GRAVE RUN.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL 
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE 
BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

AT 206 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO 
INDICATE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL OVER THE 
SOUTHERN HALF OF TRUMBULL COUNTY. RADAR ESTIMATES SHOW THAT OVER TWO 
INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN NEAR WINDSOR AND ORWELL SINCE 1 AM.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAVE COME TO AN END ACROSS ASHTABULA 
COUNTY.  SOME CREEKS AND LOW LYING AREAS MAY STILL BE EXPERIENCING 
MINOR FLOODING...BUT THE THREAT FOR SIGNIFICANT FLOODING AND HEAVY 
RAINFALL HAS ENDED.  THEREFORE THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING WILL BE 
ALLOWED TO EXPIRE AS SCHEDULED. 

MOTORISTS WHO ENCOUNTER AREAS OF STANDING WATER THIS MORNING ARE 
REMINDED NOT TO DRIVE THROUGH AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
