THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WESTERN AND NORTHERN KANAWHA COUNTY IN WEST VIRGINIA

* UNTIL 615 PM EDT.

* AT 310 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN
  AREA OF VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. 

* HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO FALL...WITH RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE 
RAINFALL CAUSING FLASH FLOODING TO OCCUR. THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS 
EXPECTED IN AREAS NORTH AND WEST OF CHARLESTON...WITH SOME PROBLEMS 
ALSO POSSIBLE IN THE CHARLESTON AREA. 

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS 
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. 
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
