000 WGUS53 KMPX 031949 FFWMPX MNC145-032345- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TWIN CITIES/CHANHASSEN MN 246 PM CDT SAT SEP 3 2005 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN THE TWIN CITIES HAS ISSUED A * FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR... STEARNS COUNTY IN CENTRAL MINNESOTA * UNTIL 645 PM CDT * AT 246 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS NORTHERN AND WESTERN STEARNS COUNTY. THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE THROUGH THIS AREA THROUGH AT LEAST 3:30 PM WHICH WILL PRODUCE EXCESSIVE RAINFALL. A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL REPORTED THAT FLOODING WAS OCCURRING IN SAUK CENTRE AS OF 2:45 PM. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED THAT NEARLY 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN DURING THE PAST HOUR OVER PORTIONS OF WESTERN AND NORTHERN STEARNS COUNTY. * SOME LOCATIONS THAT MAY BE AFFECTED INCLUDE...ALBANY...ELROSA... FREEPORT...GREENWALD...LAKE HENRY...MEIRE GROVE AND MELROSE...SAUK CENTRE...AND PADUA. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT.
