THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR A DAM FAILURE IN...
  SUMTER COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL GEORGIA

* UNTIL 315 AM EST

* AT 915 PM EST...SUMTER COUNTY OFFICIALS REPORTED THE STATHAM LAKE 
  DAM IS FAILING AND WILL CAUSING FLASH FLOODING DOWNSTREAM OF THE DAM
  AND INTO LAKE COLLINS. U.S. HIGHWAY 19 NORTH OF AMERICUS IS CLOSED 
  DUE TO HIGH WATER. RESIDENTS DOWNSTREAM OF LAKE COLLINS INCLUDING 
  MUCKALEE CREEK ON THE WEST SIDE OF AMERICUS SHOULD ALSO REMAIN 
  ALERT FOR POSSIBLE FLOODING.

FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED BY YOUR LOCAL EMERGENCY OFFICIALS. DO
NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS FLOODED ROADWAYS. FURTHER STATEMENTS WILL BE
