THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TAUNTON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR A DAM FAILURE IN...
 BRISTOL COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MASSACHUSETTS THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF 
 TAUNTON

* UNTIL 1015 PM EDT

* AT 411 PM EDT...THE WHITTENTON POND DAM ON THE MILL RIVER MAY FAIL 
AT ANYTIME.  THE MAYOR OF TAUNTON ISSUED A STATE OF EMERGENCY AND 
AREAS DOWNSTREAM OF THE DAM ARE BEING EVACUATED. THIS DAM MAY RESULT 
IN A 4 FOOT RISE IN THE WATER LEVEL. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS 
SITUATION.

* AFFECTED LOCATIONS INCLUDE TAUNTON

THIS IS A POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING SITUATION AND IMMEDIATE 
ACTION IS REQUIRED.
