  SOUTH CENTRAL SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA

* UNTIL 715 PM PDT

* AT 515 PM PDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  AN INTENSE THUNDERSTORM 30 MILES EAST OF TWENTYNINE PALMS. THIS    
  STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING FLASH FLOODING. SAN BERNARDINO
  COUNTY HAS REPORTED 4 SWIFT WATER RESCUES IN THE WONDER VALLEY
  AREA NORTHEAST OF TWENTYNINE PALMS.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE CALIFORNIA STATE ROUTE 62 BETWEEN
  TWENTYNINE PALMS AND VIDAL JUNCTION.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF WASHES 
AND SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS.

FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. MOST FLOOD RELATED DEATHS OCCUR
