JASPER COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI. * UNTIL 600 PM CDT. * AT 528 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THIS DANGEROUS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR PURCELL...OR ABOUT 15 MILES SOUTHEAST OF PITTSBURG...AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH. * THE TORNADO WILL REMAIN OVER MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF NORTHWESTERN JASPER COUNTY SOUTH OF NASHVILLE. THIS EXTENDS THE PREVIOUS WARNING PREVIOUSLY IN EFFECT. LARGE HAIL UP TO GOLF BALL SIZE CAN ALSO BE EXPECTED. THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT.
