THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LUBBOCK HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  KENT COUNTY IN NORTHWEST TEXAS

* UNTIL 1100 AM CDT

* AT 800 AM CDT...RAINFALL REPORTS OF UP TO 6 INCHES HAVE BEEN REPORTED 
  IN JAYTON. RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE THROUGH 10 AM WITH ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS
  OF 3 TO 4 INCHES POSSIBLE. WIDESPREAD FLOODING IS LIKELY FOR THE CITIES
  OF JAYTON ALONG WITH THE COMMUNITIES OF GIRARD...CLAIREMONT AND OTHER RURAL 
  AREAS OF KENT COUNTY.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF URBAN
AREAS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS NEAR PLAYA LAKES AND LOW
LYING SPOTS. ADDITIONALLY COUNTRY ROADS...NORMALLY DRY WASHES...AS
WELL AS ANY LOW LYING FARMLAND ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.
