THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
  LEE
  BASTROP
  FAYETTE
  CALDWELL
  GONZALES
  LAVACA
  DEWITT

* UNTIL 930 PM CST

* AT 539 PM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED NUMEROUS 
  THUNDERSTORMS...WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN...MOVING NORTH AT 40 MPH 
  ACROSS THE WARNED AREA.

DOPPLER RAINFALL ESTIMATES SUGGEST AFTERNOON RAINFALL TOTALS OF 2 TO 
3 INCHES OVER ALREADY SATURATED SOILS. RADAR TRENDS SUGGEST AN 
ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES WILL FALL OVER THESE SAME AREAS BY 7 PM TO 
AGGRAVATE AN ALREADY SERIOUS FLOOD THREAT. TRAVEL IS DISCOURAGED 
THIS EVENING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE 
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO 
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO 
GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING 
WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
