THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
  UVALDE

* UNTIL 945 PM CST

* AT 745 PM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY 
RAINS ACROSS EASTERN AND SOUTH CENTRAL UVALDE COUNTY.  HEAVY RAINS  
EARLIER ALONG THE HEADWATERS OF THE FRIO RIVER IN SOUTHERN REAL      
COUNTY WILL LIKELY PRODUCE RISES ALONG THE FRIO RIVER LATER          
TONIGHT.  GARNER STATE PARK MAY SEE FLOODING ALONG THE RIVER.   

RISES WILL PASS DOWN THE NUECES...FRIO AND SABINAL RIVERS THE NEXT 
FEW HOURS. RECREATIONISTS SHOULD VACATE THE RIVERS AND MONITOR NEWS 
FOR HEAVY RAIN AND FLOOD STATEMENTS AND WARNINGS. BE READY TO MOVE  
AUTOS...RECREATIONAL VEHICLES AND PROPERTY FROM THE FLOOD PLAIN IF 
HEAVY RAIN PERSISTS. 

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS 
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. 
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

* UNTIL 145 PM CDT

* AT 1040 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR 
  INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAINS PRODUCING A LIFE THREATENING FLOOD 
  SITUATION OVER THE WARNED AREA.

NUMEROUS MORNING RAINFALL REPORTS OF 4 TO 5 INCH HAVE BEEN RECEIVED 
ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUES TO SHOW A NEARLY 
STEADY RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR OVER PARTS OF BEXAR 
AND GUADALUPE COUNTIES WITH RAINFALL RATES UP TO ONE INCH PER HOUR 
OVER COMAL COUNTY. 

FLASH FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. TRAVEL IN BEXAR... 
COMAL...AND GUADALUPE COUNTIES IS STRONGLY DISCOURAGED THROUGH 145 
PM. MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS 
WATER COVERED AREAS. A LITTLE OVER A FOOT OF WATER CAN CARRY AWAY 
MOST CARS AND TRUCKS. TURN AROUND - DONT DROWN.
