* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CRAWFORD COUNTY IN NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF MEADVILLE
  ERIE COUNTY IN NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF ERIE

* UNTIL 930 AM EDT

* AT 430 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW RAIN OVER          
  NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA. THE RAIN WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH.   
  THE HEAVIEST RAIN IS OVER. RAINFALL THROUGH NOON SHOULD BE UNDER   
  AN INCH. OVER 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN THE LAST 24 HOURS.
  STREAMS...RIVERS AND CREEKS ARE IN FLOOD AND MANY ROADS ARE CLOSED.
  SOME PEOPLE HAD TO BE RESCUED FROM THEIR HOMES DURING THE NIGHT IN 
  SOUTHERN ERIE COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA AND CRAWFORD COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA.

* THE RAIN INTENSITY WILL TAPER OFF THROUGH THE MORNING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES IN EFFECT FOR ERIE AND CRAWFORD
COUNTIES IN NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA UNTIL 930 AM EDT.

A DAM NEAR EDINBORO IN SOUTHERN ERIE COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA HAS
CRESTED AND MAY BREAK. PEOPLE ARE BEING EVACUATED WHO LIVE
DOWNSTREAM FROM THE DAM. THIS COULD BE A DANGEROUS SITUATION...
PEOPLE NEED TO MONITOR LOCAL MEDIA FOR UPDATES.

BETWEEN 4 AND 6 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN THE LAST 24 TO 36 HOURS
OVER NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA.

MANY ROADS ARE CLOSED BECAUSE OF DEBRIS AND OR HIGH WATER ON THEM.
MANY STREAMS ARE OUT OF THEIR BANKS. THE SIGNIFICANT RAIN WILL MOVE
OUT OF NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA BY 8 AM. THE WATER WILL ONLY SLOWLY
RECEDE THIS MORNING. PEOPLE WHO LIVE NEAR STREAMS...RIVERS AND
CREEKS NEED TO READY TO MOVE TO SAFETY IF NEEDED.

MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED ROADS AS THE WATER MAY BE
DEEPER THAN YOU THINK.
