THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CENTRAL CLARK COUNTY IN SOUTHERN NEVADA

* UNTIL 300 PM PDT

* AT 1203 PM PDT...SKYWARN WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED VERY HEAVY      
  RAIN OVER SOUTHERN PART OF THE VALLEY WITH WATER FLOWING OVER LAS  
  VEGAS BLVD NEAR SILVERADO RD. STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20   
  MPH.

* AN AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINS ARE MOVING THROUGH  
  THE SOUTHERN AND  CENTRAL PORTIONS OF THE VALLEY AND WILL REACH    
  DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS BY 1215 PM PDT.

THE FLAMINGO WASH HAS ALREADY RECEIVED 0.50 IN A VERY SHORT PERIOD 
WILL EXPERIENCE HEAVY FLOWS AND FLOODING. 

NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
IT ONLY TAKES A FOOT OR TWO OF FLOWING WATER TO WASH MOST CARS AWAY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
