THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
  DALLAS COUNTY IN MISSOURI

* UNTIL 745 PM CDT.

* AT 659 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING
  A TORNADO NEAR PLEASANT HOPE...OR 5 MILES SOUTHEAST OF 
  BOLIVAR. THE TORNADO IS CONFIRMED ON THE GROUND AND IS CAUSING 
  EXTENSIVE DAMAGE...AND IS MOVING EAST AT 50 MPH.

* THIS TORNADIC STORM WILL MOVE ACROSS SOUTHERN DALLAS COUNTY... 
  AFFECTING THE TOWNS OF FOOSE...CHARITY AND LONG LANE AFTER 720 PM. 
  USE THIS EXTRA TIME TO SEEK SHELTER NOW A TORNADO IS ON THE 
  GROUND. PERSONS TRAVELING ALONG HIGHWAY 65 SHOULD AVOID DALLAS 
  COUNTY FOR THE NEXT HOUR


IN ADDITION TO THE TORNADO...THIS STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING 
BASEBALL SIZE HAIL AND DESTRUCTIVE STRAIGHT LINE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 
80 MPH.

THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND LIFE THREATENING SITUATION

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A
WORKBENCH OR OTHER PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS
AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF THE BUILDING IN AN
INTERIOR HALLWAY OR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET. USE BLANKETS OR PILLOWS TO
COVER YOUR BODY AND ALWAYS STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.

IF IN MOBILE HOMES OR VEHICLES...EVACUATE THEM AND GET INSIDE A
SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER. IF NO SHELTER IS AVAILABLE...LIE FLAT IN THE
