* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHEAST DAVIDSON COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 1000 PM EDT

* AT 830 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED     
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER THOMASVILLE IN NORTHEAST   
  DAVIDSON COUNTY... MOVING SLOWLY SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH. 

* THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING AROUND...  THOMASVILLE...
  AND MOVING SLOWLY SOUTHEAST. 

RADAR INDICATED RAINFALL RATES IN EXCESS OF 4 INCHES AN HOUR WITH 
THESE STORMS. THESE RAINFALL RATES WILL PRODUCE EXCESSIVE RUNOFF
FROM THOMASVILLE TO HIGH POINT. 

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING 
WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED.
