  FRANKLIN COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 1015 PM EDT

* AT 808 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER EASTERN FRANKLIN COUNTY. THE 
SHERIFF OFFICE REPORTED THAT WATER WAS CROSSING THE ROAD AT HIGHWAY 
39 NEAR HALLS CROSSROADS

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE FLOODING AROUND...
  LOUISBURG.... BUNN... AND ALONG CYPRESS CREEK AND JUMPING RUN 
  CREEK.

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER IS USUALLY DEEPER
THAN IT APPEARS. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO
SWEEP MOST VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER
SHOULD BE ABANDONED.
