NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOUNT HOLLY NJ

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CARBON COUNTY IN NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA
  MONROE COUNTY IN NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA

* UNTIL 1045 PM EDT.

* AT 910 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED 
THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL OVER THE COUNTIES OF CARBON AND 
MONROE.  RAINFALL RATES OF TWO TO THREE INCHES PER HOUR ARE BEING 
INDICATED BY RADAR.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL 
CREEKS AND STREAMS, HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY, COUNTRY 
ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER 
LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.

THE HEAVY RAIN WILL ALSO REDUCE VISIBILITIES SIGNIFICANTLY FOR 
MOTORISTS ALONG INTERSTATES 80 AND 380, AND ALONG THE NORTHEAST 
EXTENSION OF THE PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE.
