* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  JAY COUNTY IN INDIANA

* UNTIL 915 PM EST

* AT 514 PM EST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN 5 MILES NORTHEAST OF REDKEY...  
  MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS EXTEND BACK   
  WEST INTO ILLINOIS AND THESE STORMS WILL MOVE OVER THE SAME AREA   
  FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS. RAINFALL RATES OF UP TO TWO INCHES PER 
  HOUR WILL OCCUR AND CAUSE FLASH FLOODING. 

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.

THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR

  JAY COUNTY IN INDIANA

UNTIL 915 PM EST...

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE 
THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN OVER JAY COUNTY. RADAR ESTIMATES OF UP 
TO FOUR INCHES OF RAIN FELL BETWEEN 5 PM AND 815 PM. ADDITIONAL 
RAINFALL OF UP TO AN INCH IS LIKELY BETWEEN 815 PM AND 915 PM. THIS 
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL AGGRAVATE THE CURRENT FLASH FLOOD 
SITUATION. 

LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED MANY COUNTY ROADS WERE WASHED OUT. NUMEROUS 
HOUSES ARE FLOODED. PORTLAND...DUNKIRK AND REDKEY HAVE EXPERIENCED 
WIDESPREAD FLASH FLOODING.  

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY
