THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EFFINGHAM COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS

* UNTIL 815 PM CDT

* AT 512 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
VERY HEAVY RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER EFFINGHAM COUNTY...PARTICULARLY OVER 
THE SOUTHWESTERN PORTIONS OF THE COUNTY. RADAR INDICATES THAT TWO TO 
THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER THE PAST FEW HOURS. ADDITIONAL 
STORMS AND HEAVY RAINS ARE POSSIBLE FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS.  

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. 
IF IN A FLOOD PRONE AREA...MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. 
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG CREEKS AND STREAMS ARE ESPECIALLY VULNERABLE 
TO THE EFFECTS OF FLASH FLOODING. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS FLOODED
