THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHWESTERN CRISP COUNTY IN CENTRAL GEORGIA
  SOUTHWESTERN DOOLY COUNTY IN CENTRAL GEORGIA

* UNTIL 745 AM EDT

* AT 609 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  VERY HEAVY RAIN 9 MILES SOUTHWEST OF VIENNA...OR ABOUT 9 MILES WEST
  OF CORDELE.

* OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE RURAL CRISP AND DOOLY 
COUNTIES 

RADAR ESTIMATED SOME AREAS ALONG THE CRISP DOOLY COUNTY LINE HAVE 
RECEIVED IN EXCESS OF 5 INCHES OF RAIN SINCE 4 AM. EXCESSIVE RUNOFF 
FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND 
STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF 
CREEKS AND STREAMS. THE MOST FLOODING WILL BE ALONG LIMESTONE CREEK 
NEAR THE CRISP DOOLY COUNTY LINE WEST OF RICHWOOD.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
