THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BROWNSVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WESTERN CAMERON COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS

* UNTIL 600 PM CDT

* AT 407 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL OCCURRING ACROSS            
  HARLINGEN.  THIS STORM WAS NEARLY STATIONARY AND IS PRODUCING      
  RAINFALL RATES FROM 2 TO 3 INCHES SINCE 3 PM.  HARLINGEN POLICE    
  REPORTED THAT SEVERAL CARS HAVE STALLED OUT IN HARLINGEN DUE TO    
  THE HEAVY RAINS.   

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH
  FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING
  INCLUDE...HARLINGEN...SANTA ROSA AND COMBES.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS 
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. 
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
