THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WEBSTER COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI

* UNTIL 800 AM CDT

* AT 204 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  THUNDERSTORMS HAD PRODUCED VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE WARNED 
  AREA.  DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED ONE AND A HALF TO TWO AND A HALF 
  INCHES HAD FALLEN SINCE MIDNIGHT. ADDITIONAL SHOWERS WILL PRODUCE
  AND ADDITIONAL ONE HALF INCH OF RAIN.

* ALTHOUGH THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAS ENDED...RUNOFF FROM THE EXCESSIVE 
  RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO OCCUR ON SMALL CREEKS AND 
  STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF 
  CREEKS AND STREAMS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE
UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
