THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  DADE COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI
  POLK COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI
  SOUTHEASTERN CEDAR COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI

* UNTIL 1130 PM CDT

* AT 845 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED THAT TWO TO FOUR INCHES OF
  RAIN HAS FALLEN FROM BOLIVAR TO GREENFIELD OVER THE PAST THREE
  HOURS. 

* ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO AVERAGE AN INCH OR
  LESS THROUGH 1130 PM. HOWEVER...RUNOFF FROM THE EXCESSIVE RAINFALL
  ALREADY OVER THE AREA WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO CONTINUE AT 
  BOLIVAR...LOCKWOOD...GREENFIELD AND FAIR PLAY.

THE POMME DE TERRE RIVER NORTH OF BOLIVAR IS LIKELY OUT OF ITS BANKS 
AND CONTINUES TO RISE RAPIDLY. FLOODING HAS BEEN REPORTED IN BOLIVAR 
AND ALONG HIGHWAY 13 BY LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE
UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
