THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS EXTENDED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WESTERN HALIFAX COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA
  EASTERN WARREN COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 230 PM EDT

* THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR NASH COUNTY HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO EXPIRE.

* AT 1250 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
THAT 2 TO 4 INCHES INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER THE WARNED AREA 
DURING THE PAST 1 TO 2 HOURS. THE RAIN IS MOVING NORTH VERY SLOWLY 
AND AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES IS LIKELY THROUGH 230 PM. 

THE AREA OF MOST CONCERN LIES BETWEEN WARRENTON AND INTERSTATE 
95...WHICH INCLUDES ROANOKE RAPIDS AND THE TOWNS OF LITTLETON AND 
ARCOLA. SHOCCO CREEK...FISHING CREEK...LITTLE FISHING CREEK AND 
REEDY CREEK WILL LIKELY FLOOD...AS WELL AS SMALLER STREAMS IN THE 
VICINITY.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER
COVERS THE ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
