THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHEASTERN NEWTON COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
  NORTHEASTERN JASPER COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI

* UNTIL 630 AM CST

* AT 447 AM CST...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER SOUTHEASTERN NEWTON 
COUNTY AND NORTHEASTERN JASPER COUNTIES. RADAR AND SATELLITE 
PRECIPITATION ESTIMATES INDICATE THAT UP TO 2.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS 
FALLEN OVER THE PAST SEVERAL HOURS...WITH THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL 
ALONG AND EAST OF A HICKORY TO ROSE HILL LINE IN SOUTHEAST NEWTON 
AND NORTHEAST JASPER COUNTIES. ANOTHER INCH OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE 
THROUGH 6 AM.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.
