  SOUTHEASTERN RANKIN COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
  NORTHERN SMITH COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI

* UNTIL 455 AM CST

* AT 250 AM CST...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER EXTREME SOUTHEAST 
RANKIN COUNTY AND OVER THE NORTHERN HALF OF SMITH COUNTY...MOVING 
EAST AT 30 MPH. RADAR INDICATES OVER TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN 
OVER THE PAST ONE TO TWO HOURS WITH ONE TO TWO ADDITIONAL INCHES OF 
RAIN POSSIBLE OVER THE NEXT HOUR...ESPECIALLY IN NORTHERN SMITH 
COUNTY. COMMUNITIES THAT HAVE HAD THE MOST INTENSE RAINFALL IN THE 
FLASH FLOOD WARNING AREA INCLUDE JOHNS...PUCKETT...AND POLKVILLE. 
MUCH OF THE BIENVILLE NATIONAL FOREST IN NORTHERN SMITH COUNTY HAS 
ALSO BEEN AFFECTED BY THE INTENSE RAINFALL ACTIVITY.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.

FLASH FLOOD WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR...

SOUTHEASTERN RANKIN COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI.  THE STORMS 
PRODUCING THE VERY HEAVY RAINFALL HAVE MOVED EAST OF THE AREA.

FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR...

NORTHERN SMITH COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI UNTIL 455 AM. RADAR 
INDICATES THAT VERY HEAVY RAINFALL CONTINUES TO OCCUR IN 
NORTHEASTERN SMITH COUNTY. THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL SHOULD MOVE OUT OF 
THE COUNTY BY 430 AM AND THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR NORTHERN SMITH 
COUNTY WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE AT 455 AM.
