THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CHAMPAIGN COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS

* UNTIL 9 PM CDT

* AT 415 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  AN AREA OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL EXTENDING
  FROM CHAMPAIGN WEST TO THE CHAMPAIGN COUNTY LINE. THESE STORMS HAVE
  A HISTORY OF PRODUCING RAINFALL RATES OF UP TO 2 INCHES AN HOUR. 

* THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE ACROSS  
  THIS AREA UNTIL AT LEAST 6 PM. THE MAIN THREAT WILL LIKELY BE
  URBAN FLOODING IN THE CHAMPAIGN AREA. SOME RURAL FLOODING IN LOW 
  LYING IS ALSO POSSIBLE AS STORMS CONTINUE ACROSS THE COUNTY. 

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF IN A FLOOD PRONE AREA...MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG CREEKS AND STREAMS ARE ESPECIALLY VULNERABLE
TO THE EFFECTS OF FLASH FLOODING. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS FLOODED
