THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HONOLULU HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR PERSONS ON LANAI...
	 
* UNTIL 655 AM HST
	
* AT 415 AM HST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR
  INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE ISLAND FROM THE 
  WEST.

* THUNDERSTORMS WITH EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL BE NEAR LANAI DURING 
  THE NEXT HOUR OR TWO.

FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED IN NORMALLY DRY STREAMBEDS DURING THE 
NEXT THREE HOURS. PERSONS IN LOW-LYING OR FLOOD PRONE AREAS SHOULD 
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT.
