NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE QUAD CITIES IA IL
1215 AM CDT THU JUN 13 2002

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN THE QUAD CITIES HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MCDONOUGH COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS

* UNTIL 7 AM CDT

* AT 1215 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE LOCATED OVER NORTHEAST
  MCDONOUGH COUNTY.

* NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATE THAT UP 
TO 2 INCHES INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER NORTHERN PORTIONS OF 
MCDONOUGH COUNTY FROM BLANDINSVILLE TO MACOMB TO BUSHNELL AND WALNUT 
GROVE. THIS RAIN HAS FALLEN IN AREAS WHERE THE GROUND IS ALREADY 
SATURATED BY RAINS FROM THE PREVIOUS TWO DAYS.  

RAIN WILL MOVE OFF TO THE EAST...BUT REDEVELOP AGAIN LATER TONIGHT.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...
QUICKLY MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
