* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  FORD COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS
  HODGEMAN COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS

* UNTIL 345 AM CDT

* AT 1247 AM CDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THAT         
  THUNDERSTORMS OVER HODGEMAN AND FORD COUNTIES CONTINUE TO FORM 
  AND MOVE EAST OVER THE SAME AREAS PRODUCING LOCAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS
  IN EXCESS OF 2 INCHES.

* SOME LOCATIONS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
  BELLEFONT,
  BUCKLIN,
  DODGE CITY,
  FORD,
  FORT DODGE,
  HANSTON,
  JETMORE

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING ALONG
FLOOD PRONE STREETS AND UNDERPASSES...HIGHWAYS AND ALONG OTHER
DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
