THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BROWNSVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CAMERON COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS

* UNTIL 900 AM CST

* AT 549 AM CST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF VERY HEAVY
  RAINFALL NEAR BROWNSVILLE...MOVING NORTHWEST AT 15 MPH.

* HEAVY RAIN CONTINUES TO FALL ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM
  THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME   
  LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...LA FERIA... 
  HARLINGEN...SANTA ROSA...BROWNSVILLE AND COMBES.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES
AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR OTHER LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY. NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT. TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
