* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHERN KENEDY COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS

* UNTIL 510 AM CST

* AT 303 AM CST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY 
  HEAVY RAINFALL ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 18 MILES EAST OF BORDER
  PATROL TO 16 MILES NORTH OF RAYMONDVILLE...MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH.
  DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAINFALL PER HOUR
  WITH THESE STORMS.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH
  FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLASH
  FLOODING INCLUDE...NORIAS AND RUDOLPH.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...NORMALLY DRY WASHES AND
ARROYOS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

THE HEAVY RAIN HAS ENDED OVER THE WARNED AREA. STREAMS AND CREEKS IN
THE WARNED AREA HAVE RECEDED OR WERE BEGINNING TO RECEDE...ENDING THE
FLASH FLOODING THREAT. EVEN THOUGH STREAM AND CREEK LEVELS ARE NOW
FALLING...SOME ROADWAYS MAY STILL BE COVERED WITH WATER. MOTORISTS
