THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AMARILLO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHEASTERN OLDHAM COUNTY IN THE TEXAS PANHANDLE
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF VEGA

* UNTIL 545 AM CDT

* AT 445 AM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED THAT OVER  
  6 INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN IN A FEW LOCATIONS JUST TO THE EAST OF 
  VEGA ALONG INTERSTATE 40. THE OLDHAM COUNTY SHERRIFS OFFICE        
  REPORTED OVER 4 INCHES OF RAINFALL IN VEGA. IN ADDITION...HEAVY    
  RAIN WAS STILL FALLING AROUND VEGA EXTENDING EAST TO WILDORADO.    
  THE HEAVY RAIN WAS NEARLY STATIONARY AND SHOULD RESULT IN ANOTHER  
  2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL AROUND VEGA AND WILDORADO.

MOTORISTS WILL ENCOUNTER RAPIDLY RISING WATER AT 
UNDERPASSES...INTERSECTIONS...DRAINAGE DITCHES AND OTHER LOW LYING 
AREAS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE FLOOD
DANGERS.
