THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR
  FRANKLIN COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL ARKANSAS

* UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST

* AT 955 PM CST RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN
  OVER ALTUS...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH.

  RADAR INDICATES THAT 3 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN      
  OVER THE WARNED AREA. ANOTHER 1 TO 2 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE       
  THROUGH MIDNIGHT CST AS YET ANOTHER LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL     
  MOVE INTO THE AREA FROM THE WEST. 

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL CONTINUE TO BE AFFECTED BY THE HEAVY RAIN
  INCLUDE OZARK...BRANCH...DENNING...ALTUS AND WIEDERKEHR VILLAGE.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR
CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS. CAMPERS SHOULD AVOID
CAMPING ALONG STREAMS OR CREEKS DURING THREATENING RAINS.
