THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TOPEKA HAS EXTENDED THE

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  JACKSON COUNTY IN NORTHEAST KANSAS

* UNTIL 745 AM CDT

* AT 339 AM CDT...FLASH FLOODING WAS REPORTED ACROSS MOST OF JACKSON 
COUNTY. MANY ROADS WERE CLOSED THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY. THE THREAT OF 
FLASH FLOODING WILL CONTINUE THROUGH SUNRISE. SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS 
AND THUNDERSTORMS MAY REDEVELOP OVER THE AREA PROLONG THE FLOODING.

* SOME LOCATIONS AFFECTED...
  HOLTON
  DELIA
  HOYT
  MAYETTA

FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES WILL 
CONTINUE ACROSS THE COUNTY THROUGH 745 AM. ADDITIONALLY RURAL ROADS 
AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND LOW LYING 
AREAS WILL REMAIN FLOODED.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLOODING OCCURS MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. DO NOT
STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
