THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS EXTENDED THE

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHEASTERN OREGON COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI

* UNTIL 300 PM CDT

* AT 229 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HAIL UP TO GOLF BALL
  SIZE...AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.  THIS STORM WAS
  LOCATED 8 MILES SOUTHEAST OF MAMMOTH SPRING...AND MOVING NORTHEAST
  AT 60 MPH.

* THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL CROSS THE MISSOURI BORDER BY 240 
  PM...AND WILL AFFECT MYRTLE AND SURROUNDING AREAS BEFORE 300 PM.

THE TOWN OF MYRTLE IS ALSO IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM.

DOPPLER RADAR HAS INDICATED SOME WEAK ROTATION WITHIN THIS STORM.
WHILE NOT IMMEDIATELY LIKELY...A TORNADO MAY STILL DEVELOP. IF A
TORNADO IS SPOTTED...ACT QUICKLY AND MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IN A
