* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHWESTERN CHEROKEE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS

* UNTIL 1030 PM CDT

* AT 626 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL NEAR OSWEGO...MOVING
  NORTHEAST AT 10 MPH. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED 1.8 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN
  HAS OCCURRED WITH THIS STORM ALREADY.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH
  FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT MAY EXPERIENCE FLASH
  FLOODING INCLUDE...COLUMBUS...SCAMMON AND WEST MINERAL.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN ARE POSSIBLE IN
THE WARNED AREA.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE
BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.
