THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MCDONALD COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI

* UNTIL 800 PM CDT

* AT 400 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL NEAR NOEL...OR 
15 MILES WEST OF ANDERSON.  DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED THAT OVER TWO 
INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN OVER PORTIONS OF WESTERN MCDONALD COUNTY 
SINCE 330 PM. 

* DUE TO THE SLOW MOVEMENT OF THIS STORM AND ADDITIONAL STORMS 
EXPECTED TO MOVE OUT OF NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA INTO MCDONALD COUNTY...AN 
ADDITIONAL 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS EVENING.  
RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO 
OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLASH FLOODING 
INCLUDE...ANDERSON...GOODMAN...LANAGAN...NOEL AND PINEVILLE.

MOTORISTS SHOULD BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS OF FLOODED LOW WATER 
CROSSINGS.  IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED...TURN AROUND AND SEEK A 
DIFFERENT ROUTE...YOUR LIFE MAY DEPEND UPON IT.
